Joe House Arborist Madison WI

Joe House

Joe House founded Tree House Arbor Science in 2011. Joe has a degree in Forestry from UW-Madison, has spent 25 years working as a certified arborist, and is the seven-time Wisconsin State Tree Climbing champion. He is a Madison resident, husband, and father to three children. Joe has been heavily involved with forest restoration projects at Crestwood Elementary and continues to foster community and a passion for trees by teaching in the Tree Care Technician program at Madison College.

Ryan Altaweel - Arborist, Tree Service Professional

Ryan Altaweel

Ryan Altaweel began his career as an Arborist in 2016 while attending UW-Stevens Point, earning a degree in Urban Forestry. In 2022 Ryan became a co-owner of Tree House Arbor Science. In addition to being an instructor in the Tree Care Technician program at Madison College, Ryan is a former swimmer and coach of the Shorewood Sharks. He loves to rock climb, hike, and spend time with family. You can find Ryan out walking his dogs and looking at all the trees.

Tom Anderson-Brown - Arborist, Tree Service Professional

Tom Anderson-Brown

Tom Anderson-Brown became a co-owner of Tree House Arbor Science in 2022. Tom attended Tree Care Technician classes at Madison College while pursuing a career change. A Mechanical Engineer by training, Tom's desire to work outdoors with trees has developed into a passion for finding ways to preserve and beautify our urban forest.

Isabel Jones

Isabel Jones is a graduate of Madison College's Arboriculture and Urban Forestry program. She emerged from the program a strong and skilled climber, fully capable with technical rigging over buildings, performing removals in spikes, and installing canopy support cables to help protect co-dominant stems from failure. Finding her calling in maintaining the urban canopy, Isabel hopes to create a positive impact for future generations to enjoy.

Sam Dyer of Tree House Arbor Science

Sam Dyer

Sam Dyer attends UW Stevens Point, studying Forestry. Sam’s interest in Forestry and trees grew from his work with family managing their Driftless Area farm, converting the land from agriculture to a more diverse ecological environment. Sam brings a smile to work every day and is a skilled ground operations team member.

Heron Rose

In 2024, Heron Rose began his rookie season as an arborist, learning climbing techniques and quality arboriculture practices. Heron spends his weekends camping, hunting, reading, and cooking for his friends so they will listen to him talk about his newfound passion for tree work.

Joe Haupt, Tree House Arbor Science

Joe Haupt

Joe Haupt is a 2024 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with degrees in Forestry and Life Science Communications, and a minor in Environmental Studies. His love for trees and the urban forest stems from a desire to protect an oft-overlooked ecosystem and he strives to promote healthy urban landscapes. In his free time, he is often found exploring new Madison restaurants, bouldering, or on the hunt at local music stores.

Greg Peterson

Greg started his career in arboriculture in 2021 after graduating from UW-Stevens Point with a degree in Natural Resource Management and Forestry. Greg spent his first few years working in Central Wisconsin, becoming an ISA Certified Arborist in 2022 before joining the Tree House team in 2024. In his free time Greg enjoys playing with his dog, reading, and singing with his fiancée.
