We used Joe to remove three Ash trees and have consulted with him on new plantings. He is truly an expert and craftsmen. His recommendations are backed by science. His crew is professional and it's clear that safety is a priority. Many contractors will send one person to bid the job and others to complete; Joe will be there and will be the guy in the tree. Joe also accommodated us with reusing the chipped wood and cuttings for our kids to play on!

Joe has done tree work for us for many years now. He is a truly knowledgeable professional who cares about the health of our trees and our environment. With his excellent equipment, he and his small climbing crew have done major pruning and removal in our yard with minimal disturbance to the surrounding plants and gardens. And his prices have always been the most reasonable that I’ve found. We highly recommend Joe and Tree House!

Joe House and his associates have removed two trees for me. One was a very large ash tree that had been damaged by the emerald ash bore. The other was a large river birch that was in the middle of a garden of large hostas. They took the river birch down piece by piece without ever damaging a single leaf of any of the hostas below. They can be can be relied upon to safely tackle the most challenging removals. Joe is very knowledgable and an excellent communicator and been very helpful maintaining the trees on my property.

My wife and I moved into our house 3 years ago, and one of the things that we really loved about it was the beautiful black walnuts in the back yard, easily the tallest trees on the block. Unfortunately, when our first spring came around, there were a lot of dead branches that came tumbling down with it. The previous owners had never done any tree maintenance.
On advice from neighbors, we contacted Joe House for an inspection. He came by personally, and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about our trees, what we could expect for the future, and what sorts of work was necessary now, in addition to quite a bit of local botanical knowledge.
When Joe's crew came by to trim some of the deadwood, it was a real treat to watch. Those are some high climbers! They removed the deadwood, cleared away all of the debris, and were also able to remove an ash near the fence line (due to the emerald ash borer issue that's hitting a lot of the US) while preserving a Norwegian elm just a few feet away.
After all the work was done, Joe helped me to pick out and set up a tree swing for my kids, who have really enjoyed being able to play in their yard without any fear from falling deadwood!

Tree House Arbor Services did an extraordinarily great job removing a massive 70+ foot-tall soft-wood Maple growing less than 12 feet from our house. They took two work days to completely remove the tree and clean up the site, as well as remove two dead 30-foot pine trees on our lot line and trim a huge Siberian elm, all by climbing, using ropes to lower huge branches, and excellent teamwork! Their fee was reasonable, and considering the quality of their work, courteous demeanor, and attention to my needs as a homeowner, they far exceeded my expectations and did a stupendous job. From the start of the experience, evaluating the state of health of the tree, determining its potential for failure, using a test to determine whether it had a hollow core, to the fair estimate of both time and cost, through the tree-removal process and clean up, they were impeccable.
I recommend them highly, not merely for the work ethic displayed, but especially for the magnitude of the tree removed (10-foot circumference, and at least 70-feet tall) and their skill using traditional arborist techniques, low-impact equipment, and extra effort to minimize any negative impact on my property. My house is now safe from the potential damage of the tree, its annoying habit of being the last tree to drop its leaves each fall, the clogged gutters, and cascade of debris that seemed to rain down year round, and 8 cubic yards of chipped mulch to spread under our shrubs and on the garden paths. A++ work. Thank you!
