What Tree Should I Plant?

If this is the first time you’ve considered planting a tree, then let us be the first to say, congratulations! Planting a tree and getting to watch it grow and flourish is an incredible experience - one that we wish more individuals would undertake. However, if you haven’t done any research in advance, you might not be aware that there is a little more to the process than simply heading up to your local nursery and picking out a tree that “looks nice.”

When you're trying to figure out what tree to plant, there are a few things you'll need to take into account.

  1. Consider the size of your yard. You'll want to make sure you choose a tree that won't outgrow its space.

  2. Think about the climate in your area. Some trees are more tolerant of colder weather, while others prefer a warmer climate. We strongly recommend that you take your time with this step, ensuring that you’re appropriately researching the types of trees that will thrive in your home environment.

  3. Take into account the amount of sunlight your yard gets. Some trees need more sunlight than others to thrive.

Once you've considered all of these factors, you'll be able to narrow down your choices and find the perfect tree for your home. However, if you’re still not sure which tree is right for you, give us a call! We’ll be happy to discuss your options and help you pick the right tree AND get it positioned in a spot that will allow it to grow and flourish, providing you with optimal enjoyment.
